Cleaning with vinegar

Vinegar really is a jack-of-all-trades and provides countless benefits. It is easy to find, simple to use, eco-friendly, fairly inexpensive and it can be used for a very wide variety of purposes. Here are some practical uses!

How do you use vinegar to maintain your household appliances?

The coffee maker
Have your coffee maker and kettle run through with a mixture of water and vinegar. Repeat a few times with clear water afterwards to enjoy limescale-free coffee once again. You can also soak many other household appliances with a mix of water and vinegar.

The shower
Scrub the shower walls with a mixture of vinegar and water and let it soak in for a while. Rinse with clear water afterwards.

Water taps
Soak taps overnight in a cloth soaked in vinegar.

Toilet
Even your toilet can be descaled. Pour half a bottle of vinegar straight into the toilet bowl and let it soak in overnight.
