This role is ideal if you are looking for stable, regular work in private households within your living area. You get to decide on your own schedule and most of our household helps tend to clean part-time or full-time, up to 37 hours per week and usually Monday to Friday. (So if you prefer occasional or flexi-job cleaning, this may not be the right fit.)

Frequently asked questions

Together with your consultant, you agree on a schedule that fits your availability. You get a permanent contract and will work regular daytime hours. This allows you to combine work and your private life conveniently. 

As a household help with service vouchers, you can work in private homes. Your tasks include cleaning rooms, washing and ironing personal clothes, making beds, doing shopping and preparing meals. 

Within the service voucher system, you are not allowed to take on gardening or childcare, transport people, carry out repairs nor maintain professional or shared spaces. Only a specific number of household tasks in private homes is allowed. 

No, it is the customer who provides cleaning materials (such as a mop, squeegee, vacuum cleaner and cleaning products). This means you can start working as soon as you arrive. 

You receive one meal voucher for each day of 7.6 hours worked. The value depends on the region where you work: 

• Flemish Region: €6 
• Brussels-Capital Region: €5 
• Walloon Region: €5 

To work as a household help, you need valid identity documents and, if applicable, a work permit. We also ask for your bank details so we can pay your wages.
