The household tasks delivered by your cleaner may not be linked to any kind of independent activity. For example, ironing of professional clothes may not done witting the system of service vouchers.

We explicitly ask to label all chemical products as our cleaners are not allowed to use any unlabelled bottle.
Your cleaner is strictly prohibited to clean with products that bear any of the following warning labels:
If you will be absent, please give your home help a (free) house key or access code. In such case, in accordance with our contract agreement, you must draw up a written document in which you acknowledge that Daenens as a service voucher company does not bear any responsibility for the storage of the house key or access code. Your cleaning agency can provide a model document for this purpose.
Your home help is happy to help you with all kinds of household tasks. However, there are some limitations set by the service voucher system.

You choose when and how often the household help will come by. Your Daenens cleaning agency will take your preferences into account as much as possible. The more blocks of possible time slots you propose, the easier and sooner we will be able to propose a household help.
Our cleaners work from Monday to Saterday, except on holidays and substitute holidays. They always work in blocks of 3 or 4 hours.
Of course we always hope that everything goes smoothly. But if something should go wrong, our domestic workers are insured, both for accidents at work and for accidents on the way to and from work.
Our insurance also covers any damage that may be caused by your cleaner. Damage claims only qualify if the damage suffered is equal to or greater than €250. Smaller claims, below €250, are considered normal household risks. In case of damage, please notify your cleaning agency as soon as possible and provide us with a detailed description of the damage. Our insurance company will then contact you to handle the case further.
If, due to circumstances, you do not need a household help for a while, let us know at least 14 days (2 weeks) in advance. This allows our consultant to find a replacement customer and our domestic workers do not suffer a sudden loss of wages.
Cancelling your cleaner once
Is it not possible to have your cleaner come in a particular week? Check with the cleaning agency whether he/she can possibly come on another day to catch up. If not, please let us know in good time (at least 14 days in advance). This allows our consultant to find a replacement customer and our domestic workers do not suffer a sudden loss of wage.
Cancelling your cleaning help during the summer holidays
Cancellations for the months of June, July and August must be notified by 15 May at the latest. This allows our consultants to adequately prepare the summer planning.
Important! Late cancellations (less than 2 weeks in advance) are only accepted in case of force majeure. As such, late cancellations without an urgent or valid reason will not be accepted. In such case, Daenens reserves the right to collect the value of the lost hours.
You pay your Daenens cleaner with Pluxee (formerly known as Sodexo) service vouchers. One service voucher always equals one hour of household help. These ‘titres-service’ vouchers are available in electronic and paper versions. You will also pay a small administration fee per delivered hour of service. You can find more information about this in our frequently asked questions page on invoicing.
Brussels-Capital Region
As a standard, Daenens uses electronic service vouchers, as they are more environmentally friendly, easier and safer to use.
I am paying with electronic service vouchers:
Your household help registers the delivered hours of work in the Pluxee app after the service.
You will receive an automated e-mail from Pluxee, informing you of the number of hours worked. You can confirm or dispute this amount. If you do not specifically confirm the hours yourself, confirmation will happen automatically after 5 working days.
The appropriate amount of service vouchers is deducted from your electronic Pluxee wallet.
It is as simple as that!
I want to keep paying with paper service vouchers:
On the day your cleaner comes, fill in the date on the paper voucher, sign it and tick the type of activity with dark blue or black ink. Hand over the appropriate amount of vouchers to your domestic worker or put them somewhere at the ready.
Your cleaner will add his/her name, national register number and signature and will hand over the vouchers to the cleaning agency for further processing.
For Daenens, as a committed service voucher company, it is an absolute priority that our household helps can clean, tidy up or iron in a safe environment. So please, from the start, point out to your cleaner if you have, for example, a slippery floor, steep stairs ...
Tips for a safe cleaning environment:
Give your cleaner a detailed tour of your home at the start
Show your helper where first aid material is to be found
Always keep cleaning products in their original packaging with legible label. Our cleaners are not allowed to use unlabelled products.
Provide solid and ergonomic cleaning materials.
Being present is the single most important condition of a good service and as such, we strive to provide a maximum degree of attendance. However, even our domestic workers may fall sick or be absent from time to time.
If your domestic worker is absent due to illness or another urgent reason, you will be notified as soon as possible. If you wish, your cleaning agency will look for a suitable replacement. Please note that such a replacement is always based on availability. Your consultant will be happy to discuss your options.
If your domestic worker takes a holiday, you will be notified of this. If you wish, your cleaning agency will look for a suitable replacement.
Do you have another question that is not included in the above list? Please let your cleaning agency know so we can help you quickly. Because at Daenens, we take good care of you.
