How much does household help with service vouchers cost in 2025?

The cost of your household help depends on:

  • the region where you live (Flanders, Wallonia, or Brussels)

  • the number of service vouchers you purchase in a calendar year

In short: the more vouchers you buy, the higher the price per voucher becomes. Additionally, you pay a client contribution per hour worked, so we can properly support and fairly compensate your household help.

Check the rates per region below and immediately discover what you pay monthly in practice

  • In the Flemish Region, you pay €10 per voucher for the first 400 vouchers purchased in a calendar year.

  • Once you reach 400 vouchers, the price increases to €11 per voucher for vouchers 401 to 500.

  • For a two-person household, this means: 800 vouchers at €10 and 200 vouchers at €11.

  • Daenens client contribution: €1.90 per hour worked in the Flemish Region.

Example: household help every week for 4 hours (16 hours total)

  • Service vouchers*: 16 × €10 = €160

  • Client contribution: 16 × €1,90 = €30,40

  • Monthly (4 weeks): €190,40

Example: household help 4 hours every two weeks (8 hours per month)

  • Service vouchers*: 8 × €10 = €80

  • Client contribution: 8 × €1,90 = €15,20

  • Monthly: €95,20

*Please note that the price per service voucher increases if you purchase more than 400 vouchers per calendar year.

In the Walloon Region, you pay:

  • €10.40 per voucher for the first 175 vouchers per calendar year

  • €11.40 per voucher for vouchers 176 to 400

  • €12.40 per voucher for vouchers 401 to 500

For a two-person household, this means:

  • 350 vouchers at €10.40

  • 450 vouchers at €11.40

  • 200 vouchers at €12.40

  • Tax benefit: service vouchers are tax-deductible in the Walloon Region.

  • Daenens client contribution: €1 per hour worked in the Walloon Region.

Example 1: household help every week for 4 hours (16 hours total)

  • Service vouchers*: 16 × €10,40 = €166,40

  • Client contribution: 16 × €1 = €16

  • Monthly: €182,40

Example 2: household help 4 hours every two weeks (8 hours per month)

  • Service vouchers*: 8 × €10.40 = €83.20

  • Client contribution: 8 × €1 = €8

  • Monthly: €91.20

* Please note that the price per service voucher increases if you purchase more than 175 vouchers per calendar year..

  • In the Brussels-Capital Region, you pay €10.20 per voucher for the first 300 vouchers per calendar year.

  • From the 301st voucher onward, the price increases to €12.40 per voucher for the next 200 vouchers.

  • For a two-person household, this amounts to 600 vouchers at €10.20 and 400 vouchers at €12.40.

  • Tax benefit: service vouchers are tax-deductible in the Brussels-Capital Region.

  • Daenens client contribution: €0.62 per hour worked in the Brussels-Capital Region.

Example 1: household help every week for 4 hours (16 hours total)

  • Service vouchers *: 16 × €10.20 = €163.20

  • Client contribution: 16 × €0.62 = €9.92

  • Monthly: €173.12

Example 2: household help 4 hours every two weeks (8 hours per month)

  • Service vouchers *: 8 × €10.20 = €81.60

  • Client contribution: 8 × €0.62 = €4.96

  • Monthly: €86.56

* Please note that the price per service voucher increases if you purchase more than 300 vouchers per calendar year.

Why a client contribution?

At Daenens, people are at the heart of everything we do: both our clients and our employees. Unfortunately, the government currently does not provide sufficient resources to fully cover rising wages and indexation.

The client contribution ensures that our household helpers can carry out their work with the recognition and support they deserve. This allows us to continue offering our clients the warm, reliable service they are accustomed to.

Thanks to your contribution, we can continue to invest in:

  • Good remuneration: so our household helpers see their dedication valued.

  • Strong guidance: personalized support for both clients and employees.

  • Reliable quality: by investing in training and guidance, our household helpers can perform their work with knowledge and care.

The law allows us to charge a separate client contribution, as is standard in the sector. At Daenens, this amount is fully reinvested in the remuneration, service, and wellbeing of our employees. This way, we can provide all our clients with the best possible support every day. This contribution is separate from service vouchers, and is invoiced monthly.

Practical questions about cleaning help and service vouchers

One service voucher equals one hour of domestic help or ironing help.

You can order service vouchers for all three regions (Flemish Region, Walloon Region and Brussels-Capital Region) from the issuing company Pluxee.

Step 1: Request a user number first
Before you can place your first order, you need a user number.

Important: Keep this number safe. You will need it as a structured communication with every order and money transfer to Pluxee.

Step 2: Order your service vouchers
Transfer the amount to the correct Pluxee account number, depending on your region:

  • Flemish Region: BE41 0017 7246 2610
(Minimum of 1 electronic service voucher per order)

  • Brussels-Capital Region: BE28 0017 7246 3620
(Minimum of 10 service vouchers per order)

  • Walloon Region: BE15 0017 7247 4330
(Minimum of 1 electronic service voucher per order)
(Minimum of 10 paper service vouchers per order)

You register with Pluxee (formerly known as Sodexo) within the Region that corresponds to your home address.

Once registered, you will receive your user number from Pluxee. Make sure to save the received user number carefully as it will be the structured communication that you always need to mention when transferring money to Pluxee. You will also need to communicate this to your Daenens cleaning office.

Flemish Region Walloon Region Brussels-Capital Region

From 1 March 2023, paper vouchers are no longer accepted in our ironing shops. Daenens solely works with electronic service voucher, to reduce administrative procedures and to ensure a more eco-friendly way of doing business.

Of course we always hope that everything goes smoothly. But if something should go wrong, our domestic workers are insured, both for accidents at work and for accidents on the way to and from work.

Our insurance also covers any damage that may be caused by your cleaner. Damage claims only qualify if the damage suffered is equal to or greater than €250. Smaller claims, below €250, are considered normal household risks. In case of damage, please notify your cleaning agency as soon as possible and provide us with a detailed description of the damage. Our insurance company will then contact you to handle the case further.

It is always nice coming home to a tidy and polished house. I couldn't live without my household help anymore.
