Privacy policy for Job Applicants

Introduction

You can provide information about yourself via the www.groupdaenens.be website (hereafter: the “Website”). The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you as to what we do with this personal data. By “we”, we mean NV Expert Center Daenens – Rijselstraat 231, B-8200 Bruges, Belgium – 050 45 02 56 –  info@groupdaenens.be (hereafter: “the Company”). The aim of the Privacy Policy, therefore, is to explain how the Company manages, processes and stores your personal data.

Article 1- General information

The Company (registered at the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises (CBE) under the number 0745.668.692) is responsible for processing as defined in Article 4.7 of the General Data Protection Regulation (hereafter: the “GDPR”). 

The Company is part of a group of companies which together make up Group Daenens (hereafter: “Group Daenens”).

Through this Privacy Policy, the Company is fulfilling its obligation to provide the data subject with information, as stipulated in Article 13 of the GDPR.

Article 2 - Personal Data

The Privacy Policy covers the following personal data provided by you via the Website: 

  • Category 1, without registering: your IP address;

  • Category 2: The personal data you provide in order to apply for an actual vacancy as a domestic helper with Group Daenens;

  • Category 3: Via cookies;

  • Category 4: The details you provide so that Group Daenens can contact you to ask a question or for an exploratory interview. 

The use of cookies is governed by a specific cookie policy. 

Article 3 - The purposes of processing data

The Company only uses your data for the following purposes:

  • Category 1: To improve the Website, to make it safer and to gather monthly, anonymous statistics about its use;

  • Category 2: To obtain necessary information in order to fill specific job vacancies for domestic helpers at Group Daenens (hiring and selecting);

  • Category 4: To contact you to ask a question or with a view to holding an exploratory interview.   

Article 4 - Legal standing

The right to process your personal data is included in Article 6, paragraph 1, point f) of the GDPR, that is the legitimate interests of the Company and other companies that are part of Group Daenens. 

This legitimate interest is defined as follows:

  • Category 1: To continually improve the quality of the Website;

  • Category 2: To look for and find the most suitable candidate for specific domestic helper vacancies that the various Group Daenens companies publish on the Website; 

  • Category 4: To reply specifically to your question or to arrange an exploratory interview at your request.

Article 5 - Your rights

5.1. Right to access and consult
You may access any personal data that we have on you at any time. You may also, at any time, be made aware of how we use your personal data.

5.2. The right to correct, delete or restrict
You may, at any time, request that we correct, complete or delete your personal data. You also have the right to request that we restrict our use of your personal data.

5.3. The right to object
You may also let us know if you wish to object to your personal data being processed. However, you must be able to provide serious and valid reasons. 

5.4. The right to data portability
You may, at any time, ask us to provide your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format  You may then pass that data on to any other person or persons, companies or organisations.

5.5. Exercising your rights
You may exercise your rights by contacting us in any one of the following ways:

  • By phone on (+32) 050 45 02 56;

  • Through the contact form on the Website. 

5.6. The right to lodge a complaint
You may lodge a complaint with the data protection authority, the “Data Protection Authority” (DPA). You can do this in any one of the following ways:

Article 6 - Further processing

Your Category 2 personal data may be shared between service voucher companies making up Group Daenens who have domestic helper job vacancies. 

Your Category 2 personal data may also be shared with other Group Daenens companies. In particular, with Daenens Jobs & Interim and Daenens Outsourcing. Even if these companies do not have domestic help job offers, they may have other vacancies that could interest you. Sharing your data with Daenens Jobs & Interim and Daenens Outsourcing enables these companies to contact you directly if they think they have a vacancy that might suit you. 

If you do not want Daenens Jobs & Interim and Daenens Outsourcing to be able to contact you, you will find an opt-out box to tick in all the emails we send you. You can also express your preference to not be contacted directly by Daenens Jobs & Interim or Daenens Outsourcing in any one of the four ways laid out in Article 5.5 (email, post, phone or Website contact form) at any time.  

Article 7 - The duration of processing

The processing of your personal data will be halted at the following times: 

  • Category 1: As soon as the monthly anonymous statistics about the Website’s use have been harvested;

  • Category 2: As soon as someone has been hired and the job application process has been brought to a successful conclusion; 

  • Category 4: As soon as effective contact has been made with the person who requested it or as soon as an exploratory interview has taken place. 

Category 1 and Category 4 personal data shall be deleted immediately at the time indicated above. 

Category 2 personal data is stored for 5 more years in case of any legal procedures. Personal data stored for this purpose is held on a different server with extremely restricted access. 

Article 8 - Automated decision-making

Category 2 personal data may be subject to automated decision-making as part of the hiring and selection procedure. Indeed, algorithms may be used to decide who is ultimately invited for an individual interview.
