Hundreds of domestic workers from Dienstenaanhuis gather in Bruges
On Saturday 28 September 2013, for the fifth time, Dienstenaanhuis invited its household helps to La Brugeoise in Bruges for its annual family day. "We organise this as a token of our great appreciation for the great work our 1,300 employees do every day at our customers' homes," says CEO Nico Daenens.
Dienstenaanhuis welcomed hundreds of household helps together with their families from all over Flanders in the event hall of La Brugeoise. "From the start, we have put our employees front and centre," says Nico Daenens. "Providing a stable work environment and correct and timely pay are very important in this respect. Moreover, employees also receive meal vouchers, a New Year's gift and a gift on their birthday and on the World Cleaning Day."
Bring the whole family
The family day represents the annual jewel on the crown. "It allows us to put the spotlight on all our domestic workers, because as they often work on their own in people's homes, they do not get in touch often with their colleagues. On our family day, they do get to meet up and get to know each other better. Their partner and children are also welcome, something that is much appreciated. With a lively and varied programme for both young and old, we make sure that everyone has an enjoyable day," Nico Daenens adds.
