What is the Belgian service voucher system?

Service vouchers represent an official system set up by the Belgian government to enable people to legally hire and pay for household help. (Electronic) vouchers allow to pay your domestic helpers in a safe and legal manner. These household helps are selected, supported and paid by officially recognised companies (such as Daenens).

The price of service vouchers per region

  • €10 per voucher for the first 400 service vouchers purchased per calendar year

  • €11 per voucher between 401 and 500 service vouchers purchased

  • For a family of two, this amounts to 800 vouchers at €10 and 200 at €11.

1 voucher = 1 hour of work

  • €10.20 per voucher for the first 175 service vouchers purchased

  • €11.20 per voucher between 176 and 400 service vouchers purchased

  • €12.20 per voucher between 401 and 500 service vouchers purchased

Four easy steps to household help

First, register within the region in which your home address is situated.
Once registered, you will receive your user number from Pluxee / Sodexo.
Retain and remember this user number carefully as it will be the structured communication reference you need to fill in for every order and transfer to Pluxee/Sodexo, and for dealing with your Daenens office.

Now, you can order service vouchers for your region (Flemish, Walloon or Brussels-Capital Region) via the issuing company Pluxee/Sodexo.

Always order a minimum of 10 service vouchers and transfer the amount due to the respective Pluxee/Sodexo account numbers:

  • Flemish Region: BE41 0017 7246 2610

  • Walloon Region: BE15 0017 7247 4330

  • Brussels-Capital Region: BE28 0017 7246 3620

You can pay by bank transfer or direct debit.
Your electronic vouchers are available immediately.

Register at a Daenens office near you. We will find an experienced, screened and fully insured household help who is the perfect match for you.

You can decide how many hours, how often and when your help comes.

After finishing a work shift, your cleaner will indicate the number of hours worked.

You need to confirm that number in your Pluxee/Sodexo website or app account.

Pluxee/Sodexo will automatically deduct the corresponding number of service vouchers from your balance and pay your household help (through the accredited service voucher company).

To continue to properly invest in the quality and well-being of our household helps, Daenens charges an additional fee per hour worked on top of the service voucher.

Surcharge per hour and region (as of 1 May 2025):

  • Flemish Region: €1.90

  • Walloon Region: €0.30

  • Brussels-Capital Region: €1.00
