Vaccinated or not, everyone needs to do their part in preventing the spreading of the influenza virus. The best way to do this is by practising proper sneeze/cough/hand/personal hygiene, and by always ventilating properly. Are you getting vaccinated against the seasonal flu? Good news, your expenses will be reimbursed (only for the flu vaccine).
Step-by-step plan
Buy the flu vaccine at the pharmacy.
NEW! Ask the pharmacist to administer the flu vaccine between mid-October and mid-December. Keep in mind that the effect of the vaccine only starts 2 to 3 weeks after receiving it, and it only protects us for about 10 to 12 months.
If the pharmacist does not administer vaccines, make an appointment with your physician.
Keep the original purchase receipt and optionally proof of your doctor’s visit. Submit these documents to the office.
Are you a high-risk patient?
Be sure to inquire with your health insurance fund about any compensation. If the health insurance fund does not completely reimburse your expenses, you can always approach us. You will be reimbursed the full purchase amount of the flu vaccine, as well as a lump sum of €4 as a co-payment for your doctor’s visit, with your next payslip (the co-payment will only be reimbursed upon receiving proof of a doctor’s visit).
